This notice describes how personal data of BestMoorings platform users ("bestmoorings.com") is processed and sets out the Terms of Service, liability limitations and community rules.

2. Nature of the service and platform role
The website www.bestmoorings.com acts solely as a meeting platform and smart booking tool connecting private users or companies (clients) with independent nautical service providers including, by way of example: Captains/Skipper, Hostesses, Deck crew and Boat owners/Charterers.
3. Limitation and exclusion of liability
BestMoorings.com does not participate in, supervise or directly control the execution, quality, safety, legality, suitability or compliance of services offered by registered providers. Therefore BestMoorings.com is not liable for:
- Contract breaches, delays, disputes or damages arising from professional performance or conduct of captains, hostesses, deck crew or the condition of registered boats.
- The absolute accuracy of information in user profiles, although the platform performs document checks at registration.
- Any agreement, additional payment or dispute between the user and the service provider before, during or after the activity on board.
4. Monitoring, reports and community protection
Safety, transparency and high professionalism are core pillars for BestMoorings.com. To maintain high standards and protect all users, the platform actively monitors reports and feedback data solely to verify compliance with Community Rules.
Reporting invitation
Users are encouraged to promptly report any misconduct, inappropriate behaviour, breach of agreement or lack of professionalism by a registered member (crew professional or client).
Intervention and resolution
Upon receiving a report, the BestMoorings.com team will carry out internal checks and may intervene to resolve the issue.
Sanctions and suspension
If harmful behaviour contrary to community ethics is confirmed, BestMoorings.com may apply corrective measures including temporary suspension or permanent removal of the profile.
5. Types of data processed
Depending on role and features used, we may process:
- Identity and contact data: email, name, phone, date of birth and voluntary contact details.
- Account and professional data: login credentials, role, preferences, nautical certifications and career history.
- Booking data: charter request details, routes, dates and messages exchanged.
- Technical data: usage logs, IP address and essential cookies.
6. Purposes and legal basis
Processing is based on contract performance (booking platform service), user consent (registration) and the controller's legitimate interest in security and abuse prevention.
7. Communication and recipients
Data may be shared with:
- Other registered users as needed to complete the booking and nautical service;
- Technical providers (hosting, email) acting as processors;
- Competent authorities when required by law or serious reported violations.
8. Retention and account deletion
- Profile data is kept for the duration of the relationship.
- Users may request account deletion from their area or by contacting the controller.
- If no login occurs for 30 days after the request, account data is permanently deleted.
- Fiscal documents, system logs or community reports may be retained as required by law or legal defence.
9. Data subject rights
